Amex Expands Virtual Card Capabilities for Businesses

American Express is expanding its virtual card capabilities to help businesses manage their spending more efficiently. The new features allow Amex Corporate customers to create and manage virtual cards directly within the @ Work platform, which helps track employee spending and generate reports that can be integrated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Expense Management platforms.

The virtual cards provide an added layer of security through unique digital card numbers and adjustable spending limits. This makes it easier for businesses to control their expenses while maintaining visibility into spending across various areas, including travel, supplier payments, and everyday purchases.

American Express is also expanding its relationship with Conferma, a leader in virtual payment technology, to enable BTA customers to create and manage virtual cards through the Conferma mobile app. This will provide additional benefits such as enhanced spending controls, simplified expense management, and an improved traveler experience.
