Amex Expands Virtual Payment Solution with Conferma Partnership

American Express and Conferma have expanded their partnership to provide businesses with more control over on-the-go travel expenses through digital wallet-enabled virtual payments.

The solution builds on American Express' Business Travel Account with Virtual Payments, which allows companies to centrally bill for eligible business travel expenses using virtual cards. The new collaboration enables travelers to extend the use of Amex Virtual Cards to point-of-purchase expenses during a trip, such as meals and retail purchases.

Through the Conferma mobile app, American Express BTA customers can create and manage Amex Virtual Cards for approved travel expenses and send them to digital wallets for contactless payments. This provides enhanced spending controls, simplified expense management, and reduced manual administration.
