Amex Expands Virtual Payment Solution with Conferma Partnership

American Express has expanded its partnership with Conferma to provide virtual payment solutions for businesses to manage on-the-go expenses during travel.

The solution, which builds on American Express' Business Travel Account with Virtual Payments (BTA), allows travellers to use Amex Virtual Cards for approved expenses such as meals, retail purchases, and rideshare.

Clients can create and manage the cards through Conferma's mobile app and add them to a digital wallet for contactless and online payments.

The virtual cards can be issued with spending limits, time restrictions, and approval workflows, reducing out-of-pocket spending and simplifying expense reconciliation through BTA statements, reporting, and digital receipt capture.
