Amex Gold Card Unveils Lucrative Dining Credits and Transferable Points Rewards
The American Express Gold Card offers rewards and credits for dining and travel, making it an attractive option for frequent travelers who spend on food, groceries, or hotel stays.
New cardholders can earn up to 100,000 bonus points after spending $8,000 in six months. The annual fee is $325 with no foreign transaction fees.
The Gold Card earns 4X points at restaurants and US supermarkets, up to certain limits, as well as 5X on prepaid hotel stays booked through Amex Travel and 3X on flights booked via the same platform. Additional credits include $120 annually from Grubhub, Five Guys, and others, plus $100 via Resy and $84 from Dunkin', with Uber Cash offering $10 monthly for rides and orders.
Benefits also include Hertz Five Star status, Pay It for small purchases, and Plan It for installment payments. However, cardholders may find limited applicability outside the US and difficulties redeeming certain credits, although support is available 24/7.
