Australia's small businesses can now apply for grants worth $20,000 through the Amex Shop Small Grants program in partnership with Mainstreet Australia.

The program aims to provide up to $2 million in funding, with an initial contribution of $1 million from American Express. This will fund 50 grants, and there is a possibility that up to 100 small businesses could receive funds.

Corrina Davison, American Express Australia managing director, said the program aims to help small businesses invest in their future and continue making a difference in their communities. She noted that small businesses create local jobs, bring people together, and make neighborhoods more vibrant and resilient.
