Amex Rebalances Platinum Travel Credit Card Benefits in India
American Express is revamping its Platinum Travel Credit Card benefits in India. Starting September 10, 2026, cardholders will no longer earn 7,500 Membership Rewards points for reaching a ₹1.9 lakh annual spending milestone.
The intermediate ₹4 lakh milestone remains unchanged, with a reward of 10,000 Membership Rewards points. However, the top-tier reward is shifting from 22,500 Membership Rewards points to a ₹20,000 Taj Experiences e-Gift Card for those who spend ₹7 lakh annually.
From October 1, 2026, domestic airport lounge access will be conditional on a minimum quarterly spending of ₹1 lakh. This means cardholders must meet the threshold in one quarter to receive up to two complimentary domestic lounge visits in the next quarter.
