Amex Updates Gold Card with Enhanced Rewards and Benefits
American Express has updated its Gold Card to offer enhanced rewards and benefits for cardholders. One of the key changes is that cardholders now earn 5X Membership Rewards points on prepaid hotel stays booked via Amex Travel platforms.
The card also offers expanded dining credits, including $120 annually across Grubhub, Dunkin', and Resy, as well as $120 in Uber Cash. Additionally, supermarkets and restaurants offer 4X points up to annual caps.
The card retains its existing benefits, such as 3X on flights and 2X on car rentals and cruises. Hertz Five Star status is now complimentary for Gold members, granting counter bypass and added drivers at select locations.
Foreign transaction fees are waived, and welcome offers vary by applicant. Enrollment is required for most credits and benefits.
