Amgen and AstraZeneca's Lung Cancer Treatment Shows Promising Results
Amgen and AstraZeneca announced positive results from their combined drug treatment in a late-stage clinical trial for patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer.
The trial evaluated Amgen's Imdelltra alongside AstraZeneca's Imfinzi as a maintenance treatment, comparing it against Imfinzi used alone. Patients had not experienced disease progression following standard initial therapy.
The combination demonstrated improvements across multiple measures, including overall survival, progression-free survival, and response rate. No new safety concerns emerged during the trial.
