Amgen Cloud Breach Exposes Patient Health Data
A cyberattack on Amgen's cloud systems has led to the theft of patient protected health information. According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Amgen disclosed a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to third-party cloud services in July 2026.
The data reportedly taken in the incident included patient protected health information, which was described by Amgen as material based on the volume and sensitivity of the affected files.
Affected patients were to be notified directly by Amgen. If you are a patient whose protected health information was held by Amgen, you may be entitled to compensation.
