Biotechnology giant Amgen is expanding its global research and development network by opening a new Science and Innovation Center in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. This move reflects Amgen's commitment to harnessing the best of biology and technology to fight diseases worldwide.

The new center will join seven existing research laboratories operated by Amgen globally and will be operational by 2027. According to Jay Bradner, Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Amgen, this integration of advanced scientific capabilities with data and digital innovation will accelerate the discovery and development of innovative medicines for patients worldwide.

The Genome Valley site offers strong scientific expertise and infrastructure, which will complement Amgen's existing technology and innovation site in Hyderabad. This collaboration aims to enhance how medicines are discovered and developed, improving speed, precision, and efficiency.
