Amgen Exits TScan Deal, Ending Crohn's Disease Research Partnership
Amgen has announced that it will be terminating its research collaboration and license agreement with TScan Therapeutics, effective November 10, 2026. This agreement was focused on developing treatments for Crohn's disease using TScan's T-cell target discovery platform. The move removes Amgen's exclusive rights to develop and commercialize any Crohn's disease product candidates from this platform.
The partnership had the potential for success-based milestones of over $500 million, as well as future royalties. However, management has stated that the decision to exit the collaboration is immaterial to its near-term story, which is still dominated by pricing risk in core franchises and execution on late-stage programs.
Amgen's recent Q2 2026 results and raised full-year guidance suggest a steady performance, with expected revenue of $38.2-39.4 billion and GAAP EPS of $15.80-$17.08 for 2026.
