Amgen Expands Global R&D Footprint with New Innovation Hub in Hyderabad
Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, is set to establish its new Science and Innovation Center at Genome Valley in Hyderabad. This move aims to expand Amgen's global Research and Development network, which currently consists of seven research laboratories.
The proposed center will integrate experimental science with data and technology across the company's global research capabilities, complementing its strong US-based R&D footprint. Jay Bradner, M.D., executive vice president of Research and Development, Artificial Intelligence and Data at Amgen, said in a release that this new center 'expands the way we integrate experimental science with data and technology across our global research capabilities'.
Telangana Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu welcomed the decision, stating that it reflects Hyderabad's growing role as a global hub for high-value research, bringing together scientific talent, technology, and industry at scale.
