Amgen Expands Research Capabilities with Hyderabad Science Center
Amgen, a biotechnology company, is expanding its global research and development capabilities by opening a new Science and Innovation Center in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. This move reflects Amgen's commitment to advancing scientific excellence and harnessing the best of biology and technology to fight the world's toughest diseases.
The new center will join Amgen's existing network of seven research laboratories and is expected to be operational in 2027. It will bring together scientists and technologists from various disciplines, including discovery chemistry, drug metabolism & pharmacokinetics, and precision medicine, to work closely with Amgen's research sites around the world.
Hyderabad has been identified as a hub for life sciences, with a strong ecosystem that offers expertise in pharmaceuticals and vaccines. The city's growing role as a global hub for high-value research was highlighted by Shri D.
