Amgen Irish Open Adds Ryder Cup Stars to Strong Field

The Amgen Irish Open has added four more top-notch golfers to its lineup for the 2026 tournament, further solidifying its reputation as one of the strongest fields on the DP World Tour calendar. The latest additions include Patrick Reed, Robert MacIntyre, Francesco Molinari, and Sepp Straka, all of whom have impressive Ryder Cup pedigrees.

Reed, a three-time Ryder Cup player and 2018 Masters champion, has been in top form this season, currently leading the Race to Dubai Rankings. He made his Irish Open debut last year at The K Club.

MacIntyre, meanwhile, is one of Europe's top players after victories in Rome and New York. Ranked World Number 17, he will be seeking to add the Irish Open to his collection of national titles.

Molinari brings championship pedigree and current Ryder Cup relevance to Doonbeg, having been appointed as one of Luke Donald's vice-captains for the 2027 contest. Straka, a four-time PGA Tour winner, will make his Irish Open debut after helping Europe to Ryder Cup success in Rome and New York.

The confirmation that weekend tickets have sold out more than a month before the tournament is another indicator of elite golf's commercial strength in Ireland. With McIlroy, Rahm, Lowry, and Harrington already confirmed, along with European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and several other top players, the Amgen Irish Open continues to attract one of the strongest fields outside the Major Championships and Rolex Series events.
