Amgen Irish Open Tournament Delayed by Harsh Weather Conditions

The Amgen Irish Open golf tournament got off to a slow start on Thursday, September 10th, due to harsh weather conditions and course difficulties.

Rounds took more than six hours to complete, with twenty players still left unfinished at the end of the day. Conditions were challenging, with strong winds and rain in the morning, but this should not have caused such delays.

According to Alejandro Rodríguez, a player's performance was affected by both the course and their own mental state. He noted that par 5s took almost half an hour to complete, highlighting the need for improvement.

On the leaderboard, Joaquín Niemann (-5) maintained his lead despite the difficulties. Shane Lowry (-3) was one of the best performers in the afternoon session, displaying expertise in creating shots under pressure.
