Amgen Sets Up Science Hub in Hyderabad

US-based biopharma giant Amgen is expanding its global research and development network by setting up a new science and innovation centre in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. The facility will focus on discovery chemistry, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, precision medicine, data science, and digital technologies.

The centre will integrate experimental science with advanced data and technology tools to speed the discovery and development of medicines. It is expected to become operational by 2027 and complement Amgen's existing technology and innovation operations in Hyderabad.

Telangana IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said, 'Hyderabad brings together scientific talent, technology and industry at scale... Our ambition is to make Hyderabad a place where the next generation of medicines and therapies can be discovered, developed and taken to the world.'
