Amgen's Tarlatamab Shot Gains Momentum in Lung Cancer Study
Amgen's cancer drug tarlatamab is being tested in a Phase 3 study to see if an under-the-skin shot is as effective as its current intravenous form. The DeLLphi-315 trial is testing tarlatamab in people with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer who have already had platinum chemotherapy.
The goal of the trial is to show that the new shot form can control relapsed small cell lung cancer as well as the drip version, making treatment easier and broader use possible if results are positive. The study compares two forms of the same drug: one group receives tarlatamab as a subcutaneous injection, while the other gets it by intravenous infusion.
The trial is ongoing and was first submitted on August 12, 2026, with the last update filed on August 20, 2026. The study aims to recruit patients and complete primary and final dates, which will be key for timing of any data readout.
