Amundi Boosts Stake in Microsoft by 30.8%
Amundi, an institutional investor, has significantly increased its stake in Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) by buying an additional 9.814 million shares during the first quarter. The company now owns approximately 41.675 million shares of Microsoft's stock, making up around 4.2% of Amundi's total holdings. This represents a 30.8% increase from the previous quarter.
The acquisition brings Amundi's ownership stake in Microsoft to $15.426 billion, accounting for about 0.56% of the company's shares. Longfellow Investment Management Co. LLC also increased its stake in Microsoft by 51.3% during the second quarter, while other institutional investors such as Bernzott Capital Advisors and Fairway Wealth LLC purchased new positions in the software giant.
Microsoft has seen a surge in institutional investor interest, with around 71.13% of the company's shares currently held by institutional investors and hedge funds. This comes as the company continues to report strong earnings and revenue growth, with analysts forecasting 19.58 earnings per share for the current year.
