Apple's latest iPhone Duo launch has been hailed as the company's biggest new hardware category since the Apple Watch and AirPods, according to analysts at Citi.

The firm maintained a 'Buy' rating with a $365 price target, while BofA also kept a 'Buy' rating but lowered its price target to $370 from $380 due to potential stronger unit sales at lower-than-modeled pricing.

Retail traders on Stocktwits, however, have been less enthusiastic about the foldable iPhone, with nearly 80% of over 13,000 respondents saying they are not planning to buy it, either because it's 'too expensive' or because they're 'not interested in a foldable'. Only 11% said they plan to purchase the phone on day one, while 9% said they're waiting for reviews.
