ANA's Second Pokémon Jet Takes Flight This Fall
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has confirmed that its second Pokémon-themed jet will enter service on September 18, as part of its 30th-anniversary celebration. The Green Pokémon Jet, a Boeing 787-9 registered JA923A, will be flying international routes until March 27, 2027.
This is the latest installment in ANA's long-running partnership with Pokémon, which dates back to 1998 when two Pokémon-themed jets were introduced on domestic flights. The scheme has been revived several times over the years and has become one of the longest-running special liveries in commercial aviation.
The Green Pokémon Jet is part of a trio of anniversary schemes, each named after the colors of the original Game Boy titles. A 787-8 wears Red on domestic routes, while a 737-800 wears Blue also on domestic flights.
