Andhra Pilgrims Survive Nepal Floods on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Twenty-eight pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, who traveled to Nepal for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, have safely returned after completing their pilgrimage.
The group had a tense encounter with flash floods during their journey. They had traveled from India to Kathmandu and waited for three days due to a delay in obtaining Chinese visas.
P Venkatramana, Managing Director of the Tirupati-based private travel agency, said that they left Kathmandu at 6:30 am after receiving the visas and traveled for nearly three hours when they encountered the flood situation near a small village in a hilly area.
The driver immediately stopped the vehicle after being warned not to proceed further. The bus was driven up the hill beside the road, and other vehicles and villagers, including schoolchildren, were also moved to safety.
