Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 Brings Security Restrictions to Pixel Phones

Google has released Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 for Pixel phones. The update is available immediately for Pixel 6a through to the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10a.

The new Pixel 11 series is not included in this release, as it is still in pre-order and only a limited number of people have access to these devices.

This update includes several security restrictions designed to protect against programmatic call forwarding fraud. One of these restrictions blocks the 'sendUssdRequest()' API for use with call-forwarding codes using only the CALL_PHONE permission.
