Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 Released for Pixel Phones with Bug Fixes and Security Enhancements

Google has released Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 for Pixel phones. This update is rolling out to devices from the Pixel 6a up to the Pixel 10 series and the Pixel 10a, but not to the new Pixel 11 series.

The update addresses at least 16 issues, including thermal management problems that caused overheating and unexpected reboots, as well as a bug that prevented screen mirroring to external USB-C XR glasses.

Users can get this update through the Android Beta Program or by flashing OTA images. This release also introduces new security restrictions on programmatic call forwarding to protect against fraud.
