Android Auto Google Maps Users Lose Traffic Line Visibility
Google Maps users on Android Auto are experiencing an issue where traffic lines are disappearing from the app. This problem is distinct from one that was recently fixed across Android, iOS, and desktop devices.
The affected users report that the traffic display works normally when they open Google Maps directly on their phones, but not in the car's screen using Android Auto.
Some users speculate that the issue started after the Immersive Navigation update arrived last month. This update brought changes to the navigation experience, including 3D buildings and more prominent flyovers and off-ramps.
Others have found temporary workarounds by switching to Overview mode or uninstalling Google Maps updates and reverting to an older interface. However, these solutions are not ideal and may require users to give up newer features.
