Android Drops Major Updates to Find Hub and Gemini Live

Google has released the September 2026 Android Drop, featuring several major updates to existing features. The new Find Hub 'Remembered' list allows users to track items without a tracker tag, such as important documents or valuables. This can be done by giving voice commands, like 'Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in my bedroom drawer.'

The location will be saved to a new 'Remembered' tab in the Find Hub app. Users can also ask Gemini for its location with a voice command. These features are rolling out on Android 16+ devices.

Motion Assist, available on Android 17+, aims to reduce motion sickness by displaying a subtle bubble overlay on the screen that moves with the vehicle. This is designed to help bridge the gap between what the user's eyes see and the movement of their ride. The feature can be customized in terms of color, shape, and opacity.

Gemini Live has added Guided Vision, which provides verbal descriptions of objects in front of the camera. Users can ask for fine print on a food label or locate household items with verbal assistance. If the camera isn't aligned, voice feedback will guide the user to reframe or pan across a space.
