Android Pulse App Surfaces in Play Store Updates

A new app called Android Pulse has appeared in Google Play Store updates. The app is actually a first-party Google app meant for debugging, but its description may be unclear to users.

According to Google, 'Android Pulse' facilitates rule distribution for anomaly detection in critical system resource consumption by the Android operating system and installed applications.'

This service helps with software diagnostics for the OS itself and any installed apps. It does not have a user interface that can be accessed directly.

The app is already installed on Pixel devices, where it's simply referred to as 'Pulse' in system Settings. Its App info page shows a heart rate-inspired icon in green.
