Android Transfers Passwords Securely Across Providers
Google has introduced a new system that allows users to transfer passwords and passkeys from one password manager to another without compromising security.
The system currently supports Google Password Manager, 1Password, Bitwarden Password Manager, and Dashlane, with more providers expected to be added in the future.
To initiate a transfer, users must select the option to import or copy passwords from their old provider within the new password manager app. Android will then take over, automatically detecting existing password managers on the device and guiding the user through the transfer process.
