Android Update Brings Five New Features to Make Life Easier

Google has released its September Android Drop update, which includes five new features designed to make life easier for users. The latest update is available on supported versions of Android, starting from version 16 and newer. According to Google vice president Erik Kay, the updates aim to help users stay connected effortlessly.

The first feature is Motion Assist, a new addition in Android 17 that helps reduce motion sickness during car rides by displaying a subtle bubble overlay on-screen. Another notable feature is Gemini integration with Find Hub, which allows users to remember where they placed important items using voice commands. For example, users can say 'Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in my bedroom drawer.'

Guided vision is also being introduced to help those with blindness and low-vision issues by sharing the camera feed with Gemini Live. This feature will be available soon on Android 9+ devices in countries where Gemini is supported.
