Apple App Store Revenue Ticks Up Amid Falling Downloads
Apple's App Store revenue saw a slight uptick in the first 35 days of its fiscal fourth quarter, reaching $3.4 billion, a 0.6% year-over-year increase from last year's $3.38 billion.
Total downloads across iPhone and iPad fell 4% to 3.3 billion during the same period, while revenue per download rose 4.7% to $1.02, according to data from SensorTower cited by Bank of America.
China continued its trend of healthy growth in App Store revenue, with an 8.7% year-over-year increase in July, but saw a decline in downloads at 6.8%.
