Apple Debuts Foldable iPhone Duo with $1999 Price Tag
Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, called the iPhone Duo. The device was revealed at Apple's annual September launch event alongside updated versions of the Apple Watch and AirPods.
The iPhone Duo is about the size of a passport document and will have a starting price of $1,999 U.S. According to Apple, its outer display represents 90% of the screen area of a conventional iPhone, while the inner display measures 7.6-inches.
The company has also redesigned much of its iOS operating system to take advantage of the two screens. Users can multitask with two apps open at the same time and use Apple's stylus, called 'Pencil', to operate the phone.
