Apple Foldable iPhone Could Generate $14B in Revenue
Morgan Stanley is predicting big things from Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone. According to analyst Erik Woodring, the device could contribute around $14 billion of revenue in the December quarter, making it Apple's most consequential launch since the iPhone X.
The bank expects strong initial demand and constrained supply, with 7 million to 8 million builds in the second half of 2026. Over the first product cycle, up to 20 million units could be sold.
Rising NAND and DRAM costs are expected to drive Pro models up by more than $200 year over year, with the key upgrade on the iPhone 18 Pro being a move to 's 2nm process for higher on-device AI performance. Morgan Stanley framed the launch as a critical test of pricing power, expecting the largest like-for-like iPhone price increases in years.
The event will be led by new CEO John Ternus, who will unveil the much-anticipated iPhone Fold (Ultra?) alongside likely significant price hikes for existing models.
