Apple: From Humble Beginnings to Global Dominance
Apple, one of the world's largest companies, has come a long way since its founding in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. The company started as Apple Computer Company, with its first product being the Apple I, a personal computer hand-built by Woz and sold in part-completed kit form.
However, it was not until the launch of the Macintosh in 1984 that Apple truly revolutionized personal technology. The Macintosh introduced a graphical user interface that transformed the world's understanding of what a computer could be.
After Steve Jobs left the company in 1985 due to disagreements with CEO John Scully, Apple continued to struggle, but with the return of Jobs in 1997 and the introduction of the iMac, the company began to regain its footing. The iPod, launched in 2001, further solidified Apple's position as a leader in consumer electronics.
In 2007, Apple released the iPhone, which once again transformed the industry with its sleek design and user-friendly interface. This was followed by the iPad in 2010, cementing Apple's dominance in the smartphone and tablet markets.
Today, Apple is one of the largest companies in the world, with a market valuation of over $3 trillion. The company offers a wide range of products, including Macs, iPads, iPhones, Apple Watches, and other devices, as well as services such as the App Store, iCloud, Apple Music, and Apple Pay.
