Apple iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Orders Raise Demand Concerns
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders have generated mixed signals from Wall Street brokers. Bank of America and Jefferies monitored ship dates on Apple's website and carrier sites after pre-orders began on September 12. As of September 14, Bank of America found the global average ship time for the iPhone 18 Pro to be 14 days, down from 18 days for the iPhone 17 Pro at the same point last year.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max stood at 18 days, compared with 25 days a year earlier. However, Jefferies found lead times for the iPhone 18 Pro Max running five to 11 days shorter year-over-year in six markets, including the US, UK, Germany, and Japan.
Bank of America said Chinese ship dates for the Pro stood at 11 days, about a week shorter than other international regions. Jefferies found lead times for the Pro Max in China and Hong Kong to be four to seven days longer than a year ago.
