Apple has begun production of its iPhone 18 Pro series in India for global markets, including the US and Europe. The production is ramping up ahead of the expected September launch. Foxconn retains the lion's share of volumes, but Tata Electronics is set to expand its share of Pro-series manufacturing this year.

Tata had started with base models before moving to Pro models in the previous production cycle. This year, they will have a larger share of Pro-model production compared to last year. Foxconn will continue to handle the bulk of production for iPhones made in India for global markets.

Apple's manufacturing partners, including Foxconn and Tata Electronics, are driving growth in India's export numbers. Smartphone exports, mainly driven by iPhones, reached a record $9.84 billion in the first quarter of this fiscal year, with the US remaining the largest destination.
