Apple Reveals Multi-Million Dollar Compensation Packages for Ternus and Cook
Apple has revealed the compensation packages for its new CEO John Ternus and Executive Chairman Tim Cook. According to a recent regulatory filing, Ternus is set to receive $58 million in salary and target stock awards.
The base salary for Ternus will be $3 million per year, while his annual equity award has a target value of $55 million starting from fiscal 2027. The performance-based restricted stock units (RSUs) account for 75% ($41.25M) of the total, with time-based RSUs making up the remaining 25% ($13.75M).
Ternus will also receive prorated stock awards in 2026 with a $2.5 million target value, covering his portion of service as CEO that year.
Tim Cook's compensation package includes a base salary of $2 million per year, effective September 26, and an equity award with a $45 million target value for fiscal 2027. The award is split equally between performance-based and time-based RSUs.
