Apple Stock Climbs as iPhone 18 Pro and Foldable Duo Debut Under New Leadership
Apple's stock saw a modest rise of about 1% in early Thursday trading following the unveiling of its iPhone 18 Pro and foldable Duo on September 9. The new CEO, John Ternus, made his first major product debut less than two weeks after taking the top job.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and boasts improved camera capabilities, longer battery life, and a faster chip designed to support on-device artificial intelligence. Apple also introduced new AirPods and Apple Watch models.
The foldable Duo starts at $1,999 and features a 7.6-inch display when opened. This marks the first iPhone with a foldable screen, making it a key test of demand for higher-priced form factors.
