Apple Stock Pulls Back as Earnings Beat Collides with Cautious Outlook
Apple's stock price has pulled back from its record high after a strong Q3 2026 earnings beat, which came in above expectations but was met with caution due to a more conservative revenue outlook and growing debate over the company's artificial intelligence strategy.
The tech giant reported $109.42 billion in Q3 fiscal 2026 revenue, up 16% year-over-year and ahead of analyst estimates. iPhone sales reached a record $54.25 billion, while Mac revenue hit $10.35 billion, both beating consensus estimates.
However, Apple's guidance for the September quarter was less impressive, with revenue growth forecast at 9% to 11%, below analyst expectations. The company also guided gross margin of 47% to 48% in the upcoming quarter, a step down from the 50.1% achieved in Q3.
Analysts are divided on Apple's prospects, with some citing valuation concerns and rich multiples as reasons for caution, while others see potential for double-digit growth driven by higher average selling prices and incremental unit demand.
