Apple Teases Major Launch Event with Foldable Phone Rumors
Apple has announced its next major launch event for September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The company has also revealed a tagline 'Surprise and shine' hinting at potential new products, including the long-awaited foldable phone, rumored to be called iPhone Ultra.
The event will mark the first major appearance of incoming Apple CEO John Ternus, who takes over from Tim Cook on September 1. Analysts expect Apple to unveil up to eight different devices, including updated iPhones and Apple Watches, as well as products focused on the smart home market.
Apple's stock has gained 36.5% over the last 52 weeks and climbed 15.7% year-to-date (YTD) with a current price of $328.62 per share. The company's dividend policy has also sustained its appeal to shareholders, marking 13 years of consecutive increases.
Apple recently reported Q3 FY2026 results that beat Wall Street expectations on both revenue and earnings. Revenue jumped 16.4% year-over-year (YOY) to $109.4 billion while adjusted EPS reached $1.91 against the Street's $1.89 forecast.
