Apple to Unveil Foldable iPhone with AI-Powered Siri at September Launch Event
Apple's highly anticipated launch event is set to take place on September 9th, where the company is expected to unveil its latest products, including a foldable iPhone.
The centrepiece of this year's 'Surprise and Shine' event is rumoured to be Apple's first ever foldable iPhone, which is predicted to have a starting price of around $2,500 US. This new device is expected to feature artificial intelligence-enabled (A.I.) technology, with the company incorporating Google's A.I. tech into its popular voice-controlled digital assistant, Siri.
Apple's new CEO, John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on September 1st, faces pressure to deliver innovative electronic devices that demonstrate Apple's products as the best way to access A.I. However, the company is also expected to introduce its biggest price hike in over a decade due to global shortages and skyrocketing memory chip prices.
Some analysts predict that Apple will raise the price of its new iPhone 18 lineup by up to $500 US per device, while others believe the top-end iPhone Pro Max could see its retail price exceed $3,000 US. AAPL stock has gained 35% over the last 12 months, trading at $319.97 US per share.
