Apple Traders Bet Big on Foldable Phone and Ternus' Keynote
Apple's iPhone launch under new CEO John Ternus will be closely watched by traders and investors. A prediction market on Kalshi is betting on which words and topics Ternus will mention during the keynote, with over $26,000 traded across 26 contracts.
The top predictions include 'foldable' or 'folding' with an 82% chance, fitting expectations that Apple's first folding phone will be the centerpiece. The device is reportedly called the iPhone Duo and will start at around $2,000, with higher-storage versions reaching up to $3,000.
Traders also expect Ternus to emphasize 'Apple Intelligence' and give little airtime to rivals or outside AI providers. The Korean company Samsung has sold foldables since 2019, but traders only give it a 10% chance of being mentioned during the keynote.
