Apple Unveils Foldable iPhone Duo
Apple unveiled its first foldable iPhone at its fall event in Cupertino, California. The device, called the iPhone Duo, features a passport-like design that opens and closes like a book.
The iPhone Duo has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display, making it the largest screen ever on an iPhone. It also includes a titanium frame, IP68 water resistance, and a custom hinge with magnets designed to keep it closed and the screen flat when opened.
The device starts at $1,999 and features a two-camera system, Touch ID in the side button, Apple Pencil support, and side-by-side app functionality. It runs on Apple's new A20 Pro chip, which gives the foldable 35% higher sustained performance than the iPhone 17 Pro.
Preorders for the iPhone Duo open October 16, with sales beginning October 23. The company also unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, both powered by the new A20 Pro chip.
