Apple's Foldable Future: Citi Highlights Key Suppliers for iPhone 18
Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 18 lineup is set to launch on September 9th, with the tech giant's first foldable device, the iPhone Ultra, expected to be priced above $2,000. The iPhone Ultra will feature a dual front and dual rear camera setup alongside an inner foldable display with an ultra-thin glass and OLED cover.
Citi has identified several key suppliers tied to the foldable device, including Lens Tech, Lingyi, Amphenol, Largan, Sunny, AAC, Alps Alpine, Kioxia, Luxshare, and TSMC. These companies are likely to see a rally before launch and potential profit-taking afterwards.
However, suppliers may face tight initial component supply and extended lead times, particularly for batteries, vapour chamber heatsinks, and structural parts. This could impact the sector's performance in the short term.
