Apple's Foldable iPhone: Betting Data Points to Price Above $2,000
Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone is expected to be its most expensive model yet, according to betting data on Polymarket. Traders on the platform believe there's an 87% probability that the phone will have a starting price above $2,000 and a 70% chance it will exceed $2,100.
The market has attracted over $60,000 in trading volume since its launch on September 5, with most estimates pointing to a price around $1,999. However, traders see just a 14% likelihood that the phone will reach a price of $2,300 or above and only a 1% chance it will top $2,400.
The implied consensus places the most likely starting price somewhere between $2,200 and $2,300. Apple is set to reveal its latest products, including the foldable iPhone, at its 'Surprise and Shine' event on September 9, which will be the first product launch overseen by new chief executive John Ternus.
