Apple's Foldable iPhone Duo Debuts to Muted Enthusiasm
Apple Inc. (AAPL) shares surged 3.6% on Thursday after the tech giant unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone priced at $1,999.
The launch generated immediate buzz online, with Google Search trends for 'foldable iPhone' jumping 2,400% over the previous 24 hours compared to the same period a week earlier.
However, not everyone was impressed. AT&T Inc. (T) CEO John Stankey dismissed the technology as 'not new,' even as shares of the telecom carrier rose 1.6%.
