Apple's latest product event saw the unveiling of the iPhone Duo, marking its entry into the foldable smartphone market. The device has impressed analysts, including Gene Munster from Deepwater Asset Management, who praised its thin design and lack of a visible crease.

Munster believes Apple may have regained 'device design mojo' with the iPhone Duo, which he estimates could account for up to 10% of iPhone revenue in fiscal 2027. This is an increase from his previous estimate of 5%. The device's unique features and sleek design are expected to appeal to customers who have been hesitant to buy competing foldables due to their thickness and creases.

Not everyone is convinced, however. While some analysts, including Futurum Group CEO Daniel Newman, were impressed by the iPhone Duo, others, such as Jason Calacanis, expressed skepticism about the price point of $1,999 for 256GB. The device's high price remains a significant barrier to adoption.
