Apple's Foldable iPhone Duos: A New Era in Smartphone Design?
Apple's stock closed at $315.34 on Wednesday, down 0.28% from the previous day, after the company unveiled its new foldable iPhone, the Duo.
The Duo is priced at $1,999 and features a custom hinge, dual displays with a consistent aspect ratio, and a titanium body.
New CEO John Ternus led the event, criticizing existing foldables as awkward and poorly suited for common tasks such as scrolling and video viewing. He said the Duo was designed to deliver an iPad-like experience in a pocket-sized device.
The stock fell through much of the day, but recovered as investors warmed up to the Duo's positioning against established foldable players, including Samsung and Huawei.
