Apple's High Valuation Raises Concerns Amid Strong iPhone Sales
Apple's stock has been performing well, but its high valuation is raising concerns. The company's forward P/E ratio of 33.54X is significantly higher than the broader Computer & Technology sector's 21.05X.
Compared to peers Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon, Apple's shares are trading at a premium. While Apple has outperformed these companies year-to-date, its valuation multiple remains high.
The company's strong iPhone sales and improving AI prospects have contributed to its success. In the third quarter of fiscal 2026, iPhone revenues increased by 22% year-over-year to $54.3 billion, while Mac revenues rose by 29% year-over-year to $10.4 billion.
Despite these positive trends, Apple faces several challenges. Supply chain constraints are affecting all three product categories, with a significant increase expected in the September quarter. The company also expects foreign exchange to reduce revenue growth rates and is facing stiff competition from Chinese OEM smartphone vendors and other PC and AI players.
