Apple's iPhone Price Hike: A Comparison to Trump Mobile's 50% Surge
The latest iPhone models from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) have been released, and they come with a price tag of $1,199 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This is a $100 increase over the previous models.
According to reports, Apple has seen a 38% increase in costs for parts, including a 400% jump in memory prices. However, the company has chosen not to pass on all of these costs to consumers, keeping price increases relatively low at 9.1% for the Pro and 8.3% for the Pro Max.
This strategy may help Apple maintain consumer demand, as higher prices can be a deterrent for some buyers. In contrast, Trump Mobile has raised its phone price by 50.1%, from $499 to $749, which could impact sales of their T1 Phone.
