Apple's New CEO Ternus Set for $58 Million Pay Package in Fiscal 2027
Apple's new Chief Executive Officer John Ternus is set to receive a compensation package worth about $58 million in fiscal 2027. The news comes as Ternus begins his tenure as CEO on Tuesday, September 3, 2026. Apple disclosed the details of Ternus' pay package in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
According to reports, Ternus will receive an annual base salary of $3 million and a stock award with a target value of $55 million for fiscal 2027. He will also receive a prorated restricted stock unit award worth about $2.5 million for fiscal 2026. A significant portion of his equity award is performance-based, linked to Apple's performance relative to the S&P 500.
Outgoing CEO Tim Cook, who has taken on the role of executive chairman, will receive a compensation package worth around $47 million in fiscal 2027. This marks a significant shift for Apple, as Ternus takes the reins and sets out to lead the company forward.
