Apple's New CEO to Receive $58 Million Compensation Package in FY27
Apple's new CEO John Ternus is set to receive a compensation package worth around $58 million in fiscal year 2027, according to reports. This includes an annual base salary of $3 million and a stock award with a target value of $55 million. The equity award will be tied to Apple's performance relative to the S&P 500, with about 75% linked to this metric.
Ternus previously served as Apple's senior vice president of hardware engineering before taking over as CEO on Tuesday. His compensation package is significantly higher than that of outgoing CEO Tim Cook, who will receive an annual salary of $2 million and a stock award worth $45 million in 2027. Cook's total compensation as CEO in 2025 was $74.3 million.
The value of the stock awards for both executives will fluctuate with Apple's share price. It is not clear what potential cash bonuses they may receive, which are typically based on their salaries and performance.
